Do I need to book for the free tasting?
No. Walk in Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm and we pour. Only the tour needs a booking.
When does the tour run?
Monday to Friday at 3 pm, and it lasts 45 to 60 minutes. Tours run when they are booked in advance, so a tour is not guaranteed on a day nobody has booked.
How does the hotel pickup work?
Choose "Yes" under hotel pickup when you book, then pick your hotel from the list. Hotels in the Piscadera area (Dreams, Marriott Beach, Marriott Courtyard, Corendon, Renaissance) are picked up on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Hotels in the Mambo and Jan Thiel area (Avila, Lions Dive, Dolphin Suites, Papagayo Resort, Morena Resort, Chogogo, Livingstone) are picked up on Tuesday and Thursday. If your hotel isn't picked up on the day you choose, the form tells you. We confirm the pickup time by email. The ride to the RumLocker is free, the ride back can be arranged at a fixed price.
How do I pay?
All reservations are made online. Tours are paid in full when you book, in US dollars, with PayPal or a card, and your e-ticket is emailed to you straight away. If paying with PayPal doesn't work, call us on +599 9 670 0924.
Can I cancel or rebook?
Cancel more than 48 hours before the tour and you get a full refund. At 48 hours or less, or if you don't show up, there is no refund, and arriving after the tour has started counts as a no-show. You can rebook to another date for free until 24 hours before your tour. If we cancel, you choose a full refund or a free rebooking. Refunds are in US dollars for the exact amount paid. What if I'm too late to book?
Online booking stops 24 hours before the tour, but you can always call or WhatsApp us on +599 9 670 0924.
Can I come with a bigger group?
The tour takes 12 guests at most. For bigger groups or a private tour, get in touch and we'll make a plan.
Can children join?
Yes, children can join, but they can't drink alcohol: no alcohol is served to anyone under 18, and guests under 18 come with an adult. Please note the RumLocker is not really a place where we can entertain children. Guests aged 13 and over carry valid ID and show it on request. Guests who cannot prove their age are not served alcohol.
Can I buy bottles?
Yes, our rums are for sale at the bar. We don't ship bottles, but you'll find them in shops and bars across the island: see where to buy.
